This puzzle looks very easy on
first sight, because it is no problem to put sixteen blocks with a size of 1 x 2
x 2 units in a box with a size of 4 x 4 x 4 units. The aim of this puzzle is a
little more complicated. Is it possible to put fifteen blocks in the box in such
a way that if the box is closed and shaken the blocks will be kept on place. If
you put sixteen blocks in the box and than simply take one away you get an
illegal
solution because the blocks will move if you shake the box. When you have found
the solution with fifteen block try the same with fourteen, thirteen or twelve
blocks. Is it also possible to put eleven or even ten blocks into the box
without moving the blocks when you shake the box?
