A
glass cube surrounded by six wooden rods, that is the 'Die in Prison'
puzzle. The aim of this puzzle may be clear: you have to set the glass cube
free, but that this is not an easy task, you can see in the puzzle's name...
To
set the cube free you must first slide several pieces, than the first piece
can be removed and ultimately the cube. To assemble the puzzle you must do
the opposite, and that is not easy either.
However,
making this puzzle is not difficult, The six pieces can be sawn out of a wooden
stick with a diameter of 2x3 un units. Every piece is 8 units long. In the
diagram below the two different pieces are drawn. The cube can be made out of
glass and is exactly 4x4x4 units tall. In stead of glass you can take metal or
of course simply wood.
