Several puzzles are made using the rhombic blocks. The blocks are derived form the rhombic dodecahedron. because a rhombic dodecahedron can be sawn out of a square stick the rhombic blocks can also be sawn from a square stick. The stick has to be tilted 45 degrees and fixated in a bench. All cuts are also 45 degrees. The six rhombic pieces are shown below.  All pieces are explained with a diagram and design graph, so it is clear how to produce the pieces.

C-piece

The 'six sided center piece' is an important piece for several puzzles. This piece is often the center of the puzzle pieces and other pieces are glued on this piece. Four C-pieces can form a rhombic dodecahedron.

L-piece

The 'Left sided prism piece' is in fact one half of a C-piece. Two L-pieces can form one C-piece. These pieces can be cut out of a square stick in two cuts.

R-piece

The 'Right sided prism piece' is the mirror image of the L-piece. Two R-pieces form one C-piece. You need eight R-piece to make a rhombic dodecahedron.

O-piece

The 'Squat octahedral block' can be made with four cuts.

P-piece

The 'Rhombic pyramid block' is made with three cuts out of a square stick. Together with a T-piece, the P-piece can form a L- or a R-piece.

T-piece

The smallest rhombic piece: 'Tetrahedral block' has four spheres. This piece can be made with four or two cuts. The T-piece can form all other piece described above

The different pieces have all a specific color. These colors are also used in the description of several puzzles, so it is clear which blocks are used to form the puzzle pieces.
