This nice puzzle doesn't have
rods with a square diameter but the pieces are made of rods with a rectangular
diameter. The puzzle is made of twelve pieces which are sawn in a shape of a
diamond. The pieces are arranged in such a way that within the puzzle a space is
formed in the shape of a rhombic dodecahedron.
for this puzzle are pine wood
bars used with a diameter of 4,35 cm by 1,8 cm. This is a standard diameter for
boards in a regular wood shop. Other diameters are however possible but you get
the best results using boards with a proportion between height and depth of approximately 5 :
2.
