Design by Jean-Paul Pierlot
This puzzle is based upon the Tripple
Cross designed by Jean-Paul Pierlot and is a true brainteaser. The puzzle is
constructed with eighteen pieces, six made out of a light type of wood, six out
of a darker wood type and six made out of a green or black type of wood. The
exact type of wood doesn't really mater. You can of course also take two or one
type of wood to make this puzzle. All pieces of this puzzle have an unique
shape.
The diagram below shows all eighteen
pieces of this puzzle. The pieces G to L are the central pieces. You could make
the pieces A to F and M to R with the same type of wood contrasting to the
center pieces if you want to make this puzzle with two different types of wood,
for example Ramin and Cambara. Don't forget to make the left most notch in the
I-piece. this notch can be overlooked easily in the diagram below.
The solution of this puzzle is not
simple. On this website are several clues to construct this puzzle.
