The Rhombic Cube is a variation to the Rhombic Knot and thus derived from the Wooden Knot Puzzle. To assemble this puzzle six identical pieces are grouped in two parts of three pieces and shoved into each other to form a solid cube.

In the figure above all pieces are identical, but three different types of wood are used to make clear how the different pieces are situated to each other. The pieces are not cut out of a square stick, but out of a triangular stick. Such a stick can be made by using a square stick and to cut the latter in exactly two halves.  

The diagram below shows the pieces from four different points of view. All six pieces are equal. To make this puzzle the best thing to do is to take a stick with a thickness of approximately 2 inch.
